si hablamos de frutas…hay un monton que yo recuerdo pero no mucha gente de Guate no sabe que son, como jocote de mico que lo comi en Puerto Barrios tambien manzana rosa en Monterrico. Pero nunca supe nada del RAMBUTAN ni LOQUATS que son estas dos?

@lorie, Actually, there was an special on Discovery channel or NatGeo about how memory can be enhance through flavor and taste buds. So it is true, some people use their taste buds as flash cards to jolt their memory.

ANY food series you do is appreciated (especially when recipes are included)! For those of us who can’t be in LAG, at least we can enjoy the food. It isn’t quite the same as being there, but it helps. Your food series also will help me expand my food (and restaurant) selection the next time I go!

I am from a tropical country. I can name all those fruits 100% accurate as long as I will able to taste it. My taste buds dictates my brain. lol

Watermelon is sandia in Spanish not chilacayote

Mangos, platanos, piña, ciruelas, sandias, caña de azúcar, sapotes, nisperos, cocos, bananas(guineos), naranjas, mandarinas. Those are the fruits I saw in the picture and I know more tropical fruits but I don’t know in English what are the names.

I always enjoy immensely visiting your blog (that’s why I was so happy to put a link yesterday) and this particular photo is an absolute beauty ! Makes me realise how many fruit I don’t know… I need to go back to Guatemala !!!
