The tiled “Alto” signs are just beautiful. They should made them for souvenirs or something. The earth tones and reds in this picture are amazing. Mr. Graphic Designer strikes again…

It does make one wonder why things built before people had the conveniences and improvements of the “modern” age have tended to sometimes last longer than those made using newer materirals and technology.

From the top down it reminds me of the “circle Of Life” new, vibrant, crisp and clean only to end up dark, dusty, dirty and decayed.
The transition of colors works very well with that theme.
