Masked Man of Mystery
The total amount of time I’ve spent within La Antigua Guatemala so far isn’t much, just several months. But, from what I can tell, it’s not too common to spot masked men cruising around on big, shiny choppers in the old, Spanish-styled colonial city. The skeleton mask caught my eye from across Parque Central. Who is this masked man? Is he an antigüeño or is he just a mysterious visitor passing through? Perhaps his chopper and mask are well-known throughout town. Can anyone identify the masked biker?

Interesting photo! Were they nice guys? Could you talk to them? Maybe they look mean but are really friendly?? Good capture with your camera!
I wish I had stopped to talk to them. But, it was one of those moments where I was rushing off to some meeting with a friend. I saw them and had to pull out my camera to take a snapshot. I’m sad to report though, that I continued rushing on my way without engaging them in conversation. I hope to see them again!!
I bet the masked man loves to get comments and stares as he draws attention. the photos on your site have been wonderful. i enjoy my visits to your site.
@Julie: I agree. I can’t imagine anyone wearing that mask and not expecting some attention from it…
Those masks are pretty common among bikers on those choppers or Harley style bikes! I always see them people with it!
I was in Antigua about a month ago, and I was wishing to see these guys down there, but unfortunately I didn’t see them. I didn’t see any Harley Davidson bike while I was there. How hard is it to get one??
@A. Roman: So, you knew that bikers were going to be in town then??
No, I didn’t know they were going to be there, a cousin of mine told me that they go from place to place, especially in La Antigua, so I was hoping to see them.
Gotcha!
