Very nice opening shot - I like the way you captured the red of the fountain and the red of the exposed bricks on the walls to the side. I do have to explore the aldeas surrounding La Antigua - you know how it is, Rudy. I start to walk in one direction, intending to reach a nearby aldea, but I have to stop and get some pan dulce ... then some cafe ... then it's lunchtime ... then,"Ooh, great woodcarvings!"... and I never make it. Ja-ja-ja. Next time...
Interesting bit about Wells of Hope. I am fascinated by the different ideas and approaches to providing water in communities that don't have a lake nearby, or a river. How do you provide water for the aldea ? Whose responsibility is it ? How much can or should NGOs do ? I will read the article in Revue again (I think I just skimmed it). Thanks for the photo and info - I am looking forward to the next post.
