@Sheila, my car troubles were nothing major really, but I did had to have the car towed. I am glad you’re liking the kite photos.

Thanks for sharing these great pictures! I lived in Guatemala from 1992-1996 and I’m very glad to have found your blog. We went to see the giant kites in 1992, which was the 500th anniversary of Columbus, so there were a lot of Cristobal Colon-themed kites. Really amazing – I think these kite artists get better every year!

Dude, the shots I took haven’t even been imported yet- and here yours are all online and pretty My fave is the young man running in front of the kite- great emotion.

I’ve never seen anything like the giant kites yesterday, and there were so many people (20000+?).I was telling Kara the only time you’d see that many people doing the same thing in San Francisco was if Radiohead was performing. Anyway, thanks for a great day!
