Walk This Way!

Walk This Way by Rudy Giron

I have a fascination for bare naked walls that show the materials that are used to form them. Bricks, rocks, concrete, adobe, et cetera, that’s what’s shown in this picture; everything in a harmonious texture. Of course, if we can get a climbing plant to top the wall and some trees on the other side of the wall, now we’re talking. Last but not least, we have to include life, moving life, if at all possible to make for a more interesting image. I believe that’s what this photograph works for me.

How about you, what things do you like to see in pictures?

I love the bits of sunshine on top of the wall.

I was going to say exactly what Luis said!….what I can add is that it makes a great screensaver for slightly wider screens; perfect on the 21.5″

    • Hi Canche, actually, this photo was taken with a 16:9 aspect ratio which is what most wide screen use nowadays, also known as HD TV or HD Film.

Thanks Rudy; you’re way ahead of me and as usual; you know exactly what you are doing! Certainly my desktop looks great now with a great image in proportion, great resolution and plenty of “ambiente antigueno”!

    • I try to think ahead what you guys might like, that’s all.

A fine shot, Rudy. I, too, love such textures, especially of brick and stone, such as we saw at the San Francisco monastery during our visit in May. We’re back home in Colorado USA now. But we did attend the performance of the national ballet that you posted 16 minutes of video from. Just wish we’d had the chance to meet!
Thanks for all the great work you’re doing with this site!

    • Hi Mike, actually this wall belongs to the San Francisco El Grande Monastery.
