Alameda del Calvario in Antigua Guatemala

Rudy Giron: AntiguaDailyPhoto.com &emdash; Alameda del Calvario in Antigua Guatemala

Here’s a night vista of the Alameda (tree-lined avenue) of El Calvario. In the background you can appreciate one of the stations of the cross and the moon hiding behind the coffee plantation. I like how through the different lights one can see different layers in what would be an otherwise two dimensional image.

What do you like it about it, if anything?

I do like the layers, Rudy. Maybe you should not have given us the “hint” about the moon, and permitted us to find it ourselves. Wonderful image. It brings back memories of my strolls to El Calvario. I can smell the ocote, the burning branches cut down by the landscapers, and the flowers from here…also, I can hear the yelping of the chuchos looking for a snack…:)

Hi Eric, those are such vivid memories from around Antigua Guatemala. It’s like if you were here yesterday, were you?

You know, Rudy, with the quantity of coffee, chocolate, and copies of ‘Revue’ magazine that I have in my apartment…it APPEARS as though I was just there, ha-ha-ha! Maybe it is time to plan another visit. Casi acabar el cafe, pues… :D

Well Eric, if the coffee it’s almost over; then a trip to replenish your supply is must. ;-)
