Wintertime in the Land of Eternal Spring

Wintertime in the Land of Eternal Spring by Manolo Romero Escobar

Contrary to popular belief Guatemala shares the same seasonal schedule as North America. Thus, it starts to get chilly in LAG by December, which is when this photo was taken. You can see more elements of a weekend photo. Mayan woman with child and cellphone, capitalinos wearing cold-weather clothes, the arch, the balcony, the CC camera.

Nice foto, Manolo. It would be nice to visit Guatelinda during this time, to enjoy the dry season with some fresh tortillas and a nice mug of atol…instead of wearing 2 sweaters and an overcoat to walk to the post office, up here in the corner pocket. Maybe I should finally take Rudy’s advice, and start looking through real estate listings in San Pedro Las Huertas…

    • Do it Eric, we promise the coldest temperature would be 45°F and only for an hour a few days of the year. We promise you sunshine even on rainy days. 😉
