I started the photowalks in Antigua Guatemala last month and so far they have been a total success. This past Saturday I had nearly 50 people sharing the passion for Antigua Guatemala. We were lucky because we encountered Architect JM Magaña, a former conservator, and one of the people who know most about restorations and history of the Antigua Guatemala. We also met Ana Carlos, a director and filmmaker who has produced over a dozen documentaries about Guatemala as well as a television show entitled Entrémosle a Guate with Harris Whitbeck Jr.
All in all, the photowalks are excellent way for me to share the accumulated knowledge found in AntiguaDailyPhoto and learn new stuff from the other photographers as well.
I will lead another photowalk in July in case you’re in town. You can subscribe to my photography website RudyGiron.com to get the news of my upcoming events.
