Typical night vista of Antigua Guatemala

I don’t know about you, but I really enjoy taking strolls during sunset and early evening in Antigua Guatemala. The mixture of the natural light and the artificial is phenomenal and even dramatic after one can only see spotlights illuminating certain aspects of the renaissance/baroque architecture of Antigua Guatemala. Before sunrise also works for me, but I am not often up before the sun. How about you, when is your favourite time to walk around La Antigua Guatemala?

I like early in the morning, just after sunrise, when there are many locals in the street but few visitors. It seems that, if the volcano is going to put on a show, that is when it prefers to do so. Just after sunset also works for me…I don’t have to get up so early, ha-ha-ha, and as you say, the mix of natural and artificial light, combined with an intensely blue sky…it’s breathtaking, to say the least.

    • Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the intensely deep blue sky. Thanks for the reminder.
