Fish-Eye View of Palacio de Los Capitanes, Antigua Guatemala

Rudy Giron: AntiguaDailyPhoto.com &emdash; Fish-Eye View of Palacio de Los Capitanes, Antigua Guatemala

This photograph was made with 8mm fish-eye lens with only manual controls for aperture and focus. This type lens adds a lot of distortion as many extra wide angle lenses, which is not always welcome, but every once in a while it works.

You must see it large and full screen if possible. Just click on the image to get to larger version and full screen file.

What do you think of it?

iMe gusta! It is curious how the immensity of Palacio de los Capitanes is forced into such a small space. I almost said “It looks smaller”, but when you notice the people and the horse at the corner, and your eye drifts to the right, it makes you think “Wow, this place is huge.” Lots of memories of fireworks, parades, and chocolate vendors in that location!

    • Well Eric, you know me, always looking for new perspectives for the overly-exposed Antigua Guatemala.
