Antigua Guatemala’s Central Park at Night

Rudy Giron: Antigua Guatemala &emdash; Christmas lights at Central Park, Antigua Guatemala

This picture was taken from the second floor of the municipal palace, around 7pm, even though the City Hall building closes its doors around 5pm. So, how does one manage to get access to the second floor of the Muni after the doors are closed? Well, if one happens to know that the days the City council meets inside the municipal palace, then all one needs is a little social engineering to get through the door and to the second floor. Additionally, one needs a heavy tripod, a remote shutter release and know-how to take long exposure pictures at night.

Boy oh boy, the things I do for you guys in order to bring you fresh new perspectives and imagery. 😉

Cuello!! I know this can also be worked negatively, but the one thing I love about Guate (and most of Latin America for that matter) is that if you are interested or passionate about getting something done against the odds, you can do it. I’m sure you shared that great picture with them….I bet they were happy!

    • Actually Canche, no cuello, it was pure social engineering skills. 😉
