Consecutive Day 3625 of 3654 — Adjust Your Focus

Rudy Giron: Antigua Guatemala &emdash; Framed Vista from Parque Central, Antigua Guatemala

Adjust your focus, always. This was my directional command from the very beginning. Post stuff no one else is covering; focus on the daily life. Focus on the people. Focus on the culture and traditions. Focus on the language and the food as manifestation of the identity. Focus on the awesome alternatives. Stay away from the big media news coverage. Stay away from the tourism imagery. Share the interesting stuff other people are doing. Adjust your focus and do it again.

You may or may not know that Antigua Daily Photo is part of the City Daily Photo community, a free associations of blogs that at one point had over a thousand cities all over the world getting daily life photographic coverage by people living there. Well, talking to some of the remaining members, I found out that no one has ever reached the 10-year landmark achievement and AntiguaDailyPhoto will be the first web site accomplishing that. Eric Tenin, from Paris Daily Photo, was the inspiration and support for many of these blogs the world over, and he told me no one has come this far. Wow!

10-year Countdown Aside: So far, I have been publishing for 3,625 consecutive days on AntiguaDailyPhoto.com. We continue the May 1st countdown to 3,654 days, or 522 weeks, or 120 months, or 10 years of multimedia content from and about Antigua Guatemala.

Check out the entire index thus far and please, do share with us what have been some of your favourites entries through the years.
