Inauguration of Parque Central Facelift

After months of work repairing benches, replacing garden areas with new plants and flowers and fences, installing new water pumps and adding new illumination to Parque Central, the main square’s facelift was inaugurated with an event where the mayor Susana Asensio and executives of Banco Industrial presented the park to the community.

According to Diego Pulido, general manager of Banco Industrial, the new facelift of the Plaza Mayor is valued at Q1.5 million /US$200,000; funds donated by the banking institution.

The mayor Susana Asensio justified the little work done so far by her administration because of the disarray they found at the Ayuntamiento, City Hall, however, in the upcoming weeks people will begin to see some of the work being done by her administration.

The park found in the atrium of Iglesia de La Merced is now undergoing a similar facelift as well. Stay tuned for more news!
