Winter is coming this week to Antigua Guatemala

Rudy Giron: Antigua Guatemala &emdash; Antigua Guatemala Sunset

And this is what Winter feels like in Antigua Guatemala: Freezing cold temperatures of about 10ºC/50ºF for about two hours between 6am and 8am [my solution, don’t get up before 8am] and then the warm sunshine brings us back to 22ºC/72ºF for most of the day, except after lunch when we might even reach 25ºC/77ºF. Blue skies, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets; lots of comfort food such as tamales negros, buñuelos and torrejas. In other words, if you’re coming, better come prepare, pack a light sweater as well. 😉

I don’t know if I had mentioned this before, but Winter is coming soon. In fact, this week we will observe the Winter solstice. Anyhow, in case you haven’t heard it before, if you need a place to hibernate you should come now, like so many other Canadians and Minnesotans who are already here; come before we run out of rooms.
