Antigua’s Alternative Food Joints: English Breakfast

Rudy Giron: Antigua Guatemala &emdash; English breakfast at Caoba Farms

Felix and Anita run the restaurant inside Caoba Farms where they offered high quality, fresh and organic breakfast and lunch dishes. They also have delicious sandwiches and bake high quality sourdough and rye bread, which are rare in Guatemala. Here I share with you their take for an English breakfast, which was delicious with the latté and fresh out of the oven rye bread.

If you’re looking for a great way to jump start the day, give their breakfast and natural dining area a try, you won’t regret it. ¡Buen provecho!

This actually looks delicious, but so does every food dish you photograph! It certainly has the key English breakfast components (there are variations in the UK too), but with a conscious effort to make it a bit healthier, which can’t be a bad thing! The impossible thing is to replicate the flavours of the ubiquitous Heinz baked beans used here and the sausage….but anyway; if I go all the way to beautiful Antigua, it’s because I want to experience how THEY do things!

    • Well Canche, Felix is actually British, methinks, so he’s got the flavour just right. I want an English breakfast just about now.
