As I mentioned last month, bicycles are again quite popular as means of transportation in and around Antigua Guatemala during the pandemic as public buses have not been allowed on the streets since March 16th, 2020. That’s 150 days without public transportation, that’s crazy, don’t you think?

As motorcycles have become more affordable sadly the number of people you see riding bicycles in Antigua Guatemala has decreased. In my humble opinion, after walking, bicycles are the best way to get around Antigua Guatemala and surrounding areas.
These new bicycles bring a lot of attention to the tourists police as they patrol the streets of Antigua Guatemala. I have seen many visitors photographing them, just like these two tourist updating the stories on social media.
As I have mentioned before, after walking, bicycle riding is quite possibly the best means of transportation in La Antigua Guatemala. If you’re going to ride a bicycle in Antigua Guatemala, might as well do it in style, methinks, don’t you agree?

I don’t know why I like the aesthetic of antique things, such as automobiles, kitchen stuff or bicycles such as this one. Honestly, I believe things were made more beautifully and longer-lasting before. Nowadays, everything is made to be replaced within a couple of years. What a shame!
