Listen to this Maximón…

I love black and white photography!

Even though my photographic signature is actually rich, vibrant saturated colors, I really love what can be done with black and white photography. Less color is actually more when it comes to black and white photography. How else I can show you the tough condition of homelessness in a town full of million-dollar homes!?

Do you like black and white photos? Should I include black and white photos more often in AntiguaDailyPhoto? Please, I would love to hear your feedback.

Rudy, I like your B&W work and the vibrant colors…I’d say, just keep doing what you’re doing. I am happy to let the artist follow his muse. The little splash of color you threw into yesterday’s photo was eye-catching and only added interest to an already interesting subject.
Whether in color or black-and-white, I appreciate the daily views of life in my second home (maybe someday…?) 😉

Dude, you’re the artist, so follow your instincts. I enjoy whatever you choose to post, in part because you tell us about the culture along with the photos.

I am honoured to know you. I agree you are an artist and maybe your next exposition could be B/W photos. You should bring your Antigua Abstracta to Toronto (no kidding).

Love your pictures weather they’re in B&W or vibrant saturated colors. I love your B&W works of art so much I have “The Violonist” framed and on top of my fire place mantel.

I think the photographing of individuals is a nice break from all the architectural landscapes and interiors and still lives. It would be nice to see more portraits of the individuals that contribute to the culture and social fabric of Antigua in various ways. This would also make for a great archive of present day Antigua that can be looked back on years from now.

As a friend and fan I can agree with Rudy’s reply. People, not even portraits, are the soul of this blog. You have succeeded in creating a non-postcard view of La Antigua. Keep it up! and to other new visitors… check the more than four years of photos.

As a fellow shutterbug… It’s good to break away from what you consider your strength or what people have come to expect. Diving into BW or any other medium allows you to stretch yourself and helps develop your craft even further.I have truly enjoyed following this blog for the past couple of years! I am so grateful for your images and daily updates.
