Turismo Nacional

INGUAT, Guatemala’s Tourism Board, has recently began promoting Guatemala to Guatemalans. Yes, believe or not, it looks like INGUAT’s campaign of Turismo Interno (internal tourism) is aimed at Guatemalans by offering economic tour packages. I just hope this is not what INGUAT is using as transportation. 😉

That’s quite a decorated bus! It looks like our school buses up here only all our school buses are YELLOW!

Those buses are fine, they are part of the Guatemalan landscape. They are quite comfortable, as long as they are not overloaded. And to be honest, the seat have very nice cushioning.

They are in many ways; expressions of Art, USAinans love them. And recycling them over there gives a second life to something that would have ended up on a landfill, here or there.
