It’s quite common to see people taking pictures of themselves and things around Antigua Guatemala. This is especially true for tourists as you can see in this typical vista of visitors.

It would be nice to think that Antigua is the principal subject of these photos, but I have noticed that many people fabricate images and lives for themselves; like detailed visual timelines; using photography combined with social network sites, while at the same time losing real social abilities such as imaginative and descriptive skills, conversation and human interaction and courtesy. Hope this is not how things trend in Guatemala. It certainly does not appear to be your case, but as a photographer, how do you see this phenomenon?
