Enactment of the Signage of Guatemala’s Independence
You guys and I are very lucky. Let me explain.
The other day I was capturing the lighting of the torches and out of nowhere I was invited to a very private enactment of the signage of the Independence of Central America inside the Mayor’s office in the Municipal building. I mean it was very private since there was only one filming crew from the government and myself.
Here’s a picture and video clip of the representation of the Leaders of Guatemala’s Independence Movement (actually, to be fair, I should say Central America’s Independence) signing the independence of Central America and present day Southern States of Mexico.
There were about six or so people dressed up like in colonial times; about the time of Guatemala’s Independence in 1821, who represented the Próceres de la Independencia (leaders of the independence movement) who were being filmed by a film crew from the national government. I hope you like the exclusive imagery I share with you today.
Have a happy Guatemala’s Independence Day everyone!
Furthermore, here’s Google tribute to Guatemala’s Independence Day doodle.
