Twin Peaks and The Moon, Antigua Guatemala
We woke up to a chilly morning, 10C/50F, with strong winds and gorgeous sunshine bathing the volcanoes. Volcano Fuego, as usual, erupting huge fumaroles high into the deep blue skies. Then I noticed the huge moon in the horizon, next to the twin peaks of volcano Acatenango. I know that within minutes the moon will be hidden by the twin peaks of the tallest volcano around Antigua Guatemala, so I quickly grabbed the camera and put in the long telephoto lens to capture this picture. The green leaves and branches you see in the foreground are part of the Gravilea trees, basically the shadow trees from the coffee plantation next door.
With this image I wish all you an easy Monday. I hope you enjoy it.
