Mayan Foot Loom

The Casa Museo del Tejido Antiguo also has on display several antique and manual looms, such as the hand loom, the back loom and the foot loom, shown here. It is so interesting to me to learn how the world-famous Mayan textiles are actually made.

Unfortunately, the operator for this foot loom was not available at the time of the photo shoot, otherwise I would had dragged my shutter to get some blurry movement in the picture. I guess I will keep this image on my to-do list.
