Transculturation in Antigua Guatemala

I have decided that Transculturation will be the title of my next photo exhibit. It will consist in a series of portraits of Guatemalans showcasing the effects of transculturation. Today I share with you a first take on what the series might look like: a young Guatemalan with clothing and accessories showing the cultures he identifies with. In this case, Quetzalteca t-shirt, Dallas baseball cap, Adidas sport pants, Vans skateboarding shoes [not shown], and a Puma gym bag. Perhaps, I had started much earlier with this series, but it was only recently that I was able to put my finger on it.

Of course, this is also part of the series I am Guatemala, don’t you agree?
