Framing Fuego’s Eruptions
Volcán Fuego has been unbelievably active in recent months. Last energetic eruption period was on Ash Wednesday with almost 24 hours of uninterrupted eruptions cause earth vibrations and sonic booms within 30 kilometres. Literally, we had an Ash Wednesday in Antigua Guatemala and other surrounding communities because the winds were blowing our way.
My new approach when capturing Fuego’s vigorous eruptions is to always frame it with context and to show as many vantage points as possible. Today’s framed picture of Fuego volcano was made from the second floor of the strip mall in San Pedro El Panorama.
