Book Alert — Common Trees of Guatemala

Thanks to author Tracey Parker, a forester, I have not in my hands the incredible resource of Common Trees of Guatemala / Árboles comunes de Guatemala, a bilingual guide to the most often trees in Guatemala.

Full text in Spanish and English. COMMON TREES OF GUATEMALA is a valuable resource for naturalists, gardeners and students. Its 215 trees are richly illustrated with over 1,500 detailed photographs. THE AUTHOR, Tracey Parker, is a forester and has lived in Latin America and the Caribbean for 17 years, teaching dendrology, conducting research in forest ecology and working in conservation.

You can get this incredible resource at Amazon, a soft cover book in color for $44.95. This book and the larger hard-cover compendium of Trees of Guatemala will be available at the public library of Cooperación Española inside the Compañía de Jesús building for anyone to use in a few weeks since I will donate the books in the name of Tracey Parker.
