Mayan family in a hurry

Oh what a wonderful combination of just the right ingredients is this charming and photogenic city we call now La Antigua Guatemala. Where should we start to list the enchanting elements of the former Santiago de Guatemala; perhaps we should begin with its people, a rainbow of cultures, locals and foreigners. Next, the surreal baroque architecture from the XVI century; it’s doors and windows, the limited color palette based on natural limestone paints; it’s antique and vintage decorations; don’t forget the patios, gardens and fountains; it’s ruins and monuments. What else am I missing?
