Antigua Guatemala’s Mayor at Work

This morning we were awaken by very strong tremors, a 5.4 earthquake at 5:30am. The epicentre was quite close to Antigua Guatemala, in neighbouring department of Escuintla. Later in the morning I was leading a photo walk and we visited Palacio del Ayuntamiento, the city hall building, and that’s when we noticed Susana Asensio, the mayor of Antigua Guatemala in a meeting to oversee the safety and safeguards protocols with the different entities in charge of preventing disasters in the Guatemala.
