Maya tourists visiting the Aldeas of La Antigua Guatemala

Here’s a portrait of a K’iche’ family from Xela visiting the different villages of Antigua Guatemala. I captured them here while posing for a family portrait right outside the Iglesia de San Juan del Obispo. The two little girls were true models with poses and all.

By the way, even though we normally refer to the city of Quetzaltenango as Xela, short for Xelajú, you will not find as such in the maps. So, make sure you learn the official names of the cities and towns in Guatemala in you plan to visit them.
