Wheel clampping vehicles parked in no-parking zones of Antigua Guatemala
Here’s your illustrated Spanish word of the day: Cepo or wheel clamp.
Cepos are used to immobilize vehicles parked in the no-parking zones. The problem, of course, is that often enough what the no-parking areas are is confusing or ever changing. Take 3a and 4a calles, even though you can park on these streets every day, the weekends are the exception. So, if you are not familiar with the changing no-parking zone you might get a cepo. I recommend you ask the transit police offices before you park, just to be safe.
