Quotidian Vistas from Antigua Guatemala — Manifestations

Even though La Antigua Guatemala is a small town it has a very vocal community of activists. The general population though conservative is quite outspoken. This is why you often see banners and people manifesting in front of the Palacio del Ayuntamiento, our town hall, against what we see as the wrong decisions from our elected officials. Last Friday the wrong decision was to honor the vice-president of Guatemala whom many in the country considered to be a corrupt politician.
