Palm Sunday Bouquets

Once again Domingo de Ramos, or Palm Sunday, was observed in Antigua Guatemala. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of the Semana Santa [Holy Week] in the Catholic realm. Because of the pandemic, things are done differently, less crowds, observing the health protocols to ensure the safety of everyone. I’ll be covering these unique Antigua Guatemala Holy Week Vistas with the goal to cast light on the differences from previous years.

For instance, in previous years, most atriums were packed with vendors selling these Palm Sunday bouquets and there were huge crowds. Nowadays, there only a few vendors and there’s a queue with safe distancing set up to buy the bouquets.
