When it rains, it pours in Antigua Guatemala

The portales, the long corridors, on each side of Parque Central get really crowded when the rain begins falling. People get together and talk about hard hard is raining or whatever. Some take some pictures. Unless there is tropical storm or hurricane that causes the chipi-chipi rain, that’s the light drizzle for you unaware of the Guatemalan vocabulary, in Guatemala we get hard rains that last from a few minutes to a few hours, and then sunshine and the aroma of wet soil which so characteristic to Guatemala.
