Antigua Guatemala Milpa Fields Panoramic Vista
Once again, we can blame NYChapin for today’s photo of panoramic vista of corn fields around Antigua Guatemala. This is about 2.5 miles up the skirt of Volcán de Agua as climbed from the village of San Pedro Las Huertas, just a little higher than last week’s post. Here we can see the fields right before the corn plants begin to grow. Also, we see nispero trees and izote yucca trees which serve as land markers between the different land parcels of each campesino.
