-6 Days to 9th Anniversary: The Visual Duel
The painter vs the photographer in a duel on Calle del Arco, Antigua Guatemala. Each one with the visual tool of choice. These are quotidian vistas one can find in Antigua Guatemala on a typical weekend.
The street painters are part of the hard-working people series that I have been sharing with you guys. They take a spot and with a blank canvas, color palette and stool they begin working the costumbrismo pairings people want to buy.
I wonder why no photographer has decided to the same with the gorgeous landscape photography that can be achieve around Antigua Guatemala. On the streets of NYC I saw people selling 5″x7″ and 8″x10″ inside pre-cut mat boards and clear bags. Well, maybe one day I will setup shop on Calle del Arco to sell some of my pictures; what are your thoughts about that?
