Consecutive Day 3632 of 3654 — Parque Central Facelift

This week Parque Central has been going through a facelift. New fences, new benches, new trash cans, new garden areas. This is the first facelift of the main square that I get to see in the 15 years I have been living here. I promise I will come back to show what it looks like once all the changes have been made. Stay tuned!

Oh dont get me started on this… Who was the designer for this facelift ??? There are way too few trash cans, none on the “inner circle” around the fountain and I’m afraid people wont walk further outside. Dont know why they pulled out ALL of the plants except for the big trees. The plants were nice and many certainly didnt need replacement. The park looks really sad right now… But most of all I would like to know what stupid person chose those new fences ??? Not to mention the grey color is ugly and everyone says they are not very sturdy, but they are outright dangerous especially for the kids in the parque. Have you touched those spikes ?? Some are sharp as knifes and i dont even want to imagine a kid trying to climb it and get spiked up on those things or badly hurt…. And they really need to do something about those pigeons… They are becoming a real plague in ever bigger numbers. No point in changing the benches if you cant sit on them cause theres a hundred pigeons above pooping on you… Oh.. And deat tourist police , leave the vendadores alone… If they werent here, we wouldnt come either and they dont bother anyone (unlike some american missionary who screams his stupid stuff all over the parque… Didnt see the police telling him to shut up…)
