We live in the era of the selfie thus a picture of landmark we visit is not as important as a selfie made at said landmark, right?

What are your thoughts regarding selfies?

…call me old fashioned… if you’re the over 40 generation ( and thus grew up without mobile phones and digital cameras) the landmarks and places and other people are what you are interested in. I never take selfies of myself (… I can look in the mirror if I wanna see myself… :o) What’s the point of having millions of photos of yourself, right? ) , Plus selfies are rarely very flattering I think because they are too close up..

  I think I finally agree with Jeannine. I don’t mind selfies when taken with friends (are they still called selfies then?). But do people have to take so many selfies of themeselves all the time? Are they really that self absorbed? I prefer myself to capture most of my memories in my head and safe photos for very special instances or artistic reasons.
