Feliz Navidad Wishes from Antigua Guatemala
Navidad is actually sort of quiet day in Guatemala. It’s a day to rest and pig out with the leftovers from the Noche Buena, Christmas Eve, dinner and to drink lots of ponche de frutas, fruit punch, hot chocolate or coffee, whatever you like best. It’s also a day to spend with the family. Firecrackers are burned at 12pm and at 6pm, and there might be a procession or two, but other than that, it’s a mellow day by Guatemalan standards.
Today I share with you a picture of a colorful ceramic Mayan-styled Nativity scene and a Merry Christmas for you and your loved ones wherever you are!
