Sights of Antigua Guatemala: Cupolas and Clouds
Today I am sharing a simple vista with the things that one often encounters while strolling around Antigua Guatemala during the rainy season: Clouds and Cupolas.
Cúpulas (cupolas) are among the most distinctive architectonic elements on the rooftops of the Casa Antigüeña. Originally designed as a chimney for the kitchen, nowadays many cupolas are only decorative pieces; yet they still provide ventilation and some light to rooms.
