    I think I have been away for too long, because I had to read the tags to know what was in the photo. This is, indeed, a great “moment in time” shot, Rudy. And although it is a chile, the photo reminds me of being awakened by aguacates crashing onto the roof during a rain shower. And lingering over coffee until the rain pauses. And the tortilla ladies. -sigh-

  • My first thought was that it was some cocoon… Eric’s comments made me remember being in the countryside and listening to the rain falling on the aluminum (“lamina”) roofs… nothing like it… listening to the rain in our Macondo.

    Well said Manolo. My cousin, who lives in the coast, always says she’s reminded of the 40 day rain in Macondo whenever we get a tropical depression. Just as long as she doesn’t end up breaking all of her clay pots…
