At this museum one can learn about the history and tradition of the Mayan weavings from the different regions of Guatemala. The museums have different rooms with samples of weaving and brief of explanations of each traje, dress. The museum also has a guided tour in English and Spanish to put the different weaving pieces in context. Casa del Tejido Antigua opened its doors 17 years ago, on March 23, 1998. The entrance fee are only Q15/$2 per person, making one of the best deals in town. I am even considering it as one of the destinations of my Antigua Photo Walks.
