Sometimes just showing a sign can be considered a political act. Today’s photo about one particular architect’s sign falls under the political act category. How can a set of architectonic values, positions and opinions be considered political? Well, if you knew JM Magaña, you would know that the architectonic changes or conservation he has implemented in La Antigua Guatemala and Guatemala City are indeed political acts. I love that sign. I love the shape of it, the texture, the writing, the style, the colours. I love everything about it.
I counted four, but the search result was six hits. In any case… I would die-kill-beg to have that font… and preferably to be able to use it in 3D like on this sign. I share some of your sign fetish, but I have the suspicion it is only enhanced by my fascination with the shape letters can have.
