New Take on the Gothic Church of San Felipe de Jesús

Here’s my second attempt at capturing the new looks of the façade of the gothic church in San Felipe de Jesús, the village to the northwest of Antigua Guatemala and home to Finca Filadelfia, which was recently renovated. I tried a new angle and orientation to highlight the gothic architecture of this parish. Below you can look at my previous attempt, what do you think, which one do you like better?

  1. I like both shots but I prefer the second one because its perspective not only the church but the cross too. Great angle.

  2. The second image is definitely the better of the two. Including the cross and changing the shot angle increases the photo’s complexity and appeal. Further, the beautiful gothic arches are now the centerpiece of the composition. Well done!

  3. Both shots are impressive, but I like the way the shadows play on the second image…it brings out the detail, and gives the foto more of a 3-D feel. And makes me hungry for a coffee and pan dulce…. 😀
