Chomín de mango or mango chow mein simply refers to the mango sliced very thinly so it looks like chow mein pasta. As you can guess, mangoes are very popular in Guatemala; especially when they are in season. Chomín de mango is usually served inside a transparent plastic bag with pepitoria (ground roasted squash seeds), chilli powder, salt and lime juice?
Have you ever had chomín de mango? If so, when was the last time?

Good eye NYChapin, I took the photo so I could have a portrait of this nice lady with her extraordinary güipil.
Here in the states I always cut the mango in similar fashion to put it in my green salad, delicious.
That sound good Luis, will try it next time I have a salad.
The chomín de mango is one of my favorite snacks when walking about in either Mexico or Central America. I could eat it all day long! And, it’s good for you.
Yeah Willy, Chomín de mango FTW!
