I believe that processions and parades are the most popular public manifestations of antigüeños. It’s almost impossible to conceive Antigua Guatemala without a parade or procession almost every week. Here, for instance, I encountered an interesting student parade celebrating the anniversary of their school. From what I was able to determine, each classroom picked a theme as every 30 or so students the parade morphed. The picture above was taken from the most colorful section of the parade. I really like it because of its movement and context. What about you?

Very different from Sweden, we never have parades in my area, this looks like fun for the kids.
