Last May I showed you a picture of a little girl playing with her shadow while she was going for the morning bread. I entitle that picture “My shadow and I” and I have to tell you it was one of my most successful photographs from last year. Today, I repeat the theme, except, it is an old man really working each step of his way back home with the bread for breakfast in his hand. This is the #RealGuatemala that I have been talking about. This picture was taking in San Miguel Escobar.

Excellent capture of a daily morning ritual, Rudy. And, I can say from experience, a tasty morning ritual. If I get to live in the land of volcanoes and tortillas, I’ll be going through this ritual daily, myself.
