The fountain of youth!

Working children always find a little time to have fun. Regardless of what many of the readers have told me about children working, I am still against child labor. Children should be allowed to be children, to go to school and play. The time to work to survive will come, no need to hurry it, me thinks. What about you?

I agree with you that child labor is bad and kids should be in school. I think there is a difference between Antigua and rural villages though. In the villages people are often so poor that kids have to help working the fields or taking care of all the younger siblings. Education is very important but then again there is no work at all in these places and I can understand them for not wanting to leave their homes either and only doing few years of school.
Antigua is a different thing though I think. I know many of the girls selling things to tourists and have known them for years. Almost all go to school and only sell stuff in the afternoon or weekends. They do play and joke around a lot and get to spend lots of times with their friends in the park, so I dont think you can compare that to the hard labour of kids in the villages. For the small kids who dont go to school set anyway I think its even a good thing to acompany their mothers, cause they too spend lots of time with other kids and also can learn quite a bit by interacting and talking with the tourists speaking spanish.
