Slices of Daily Life — Wi-Fi Sniffing

Rudy Giron: Antigua Guatemala &emdash; Street Photography — Snapchatting my day story from Antigua Guatemala

Let’s be honest, we all do it, especially so when we’re traveling and need to check something or post the latest update on our trip. I am talking about sniffing Wi-Fi signal from a coffee shop or restaurant. In Guatemala, this should be a less prominent practice as the SIM cards and internet access is quite inexpensive, but most visitors don’t know that they can head over to one of the cellular companies, Claro, Movistar or Tigo, and get a SIM card, air time, text messages and internet for as little as Q100 in some cases.
