Panza Verde Portraits — Francisco Mendoza

Today we continue the new Panza Verde Portraits series with a portrait of Francisco who guards the main entrance to the Real Palacio de los Capitanes.

As many of you know, Panza Verde, green belly is the nick name by which people of Antigua Guatemala are known. So, the Panza Verde Portraits is series to highlight some of the Antigüeños I encounter on my daily comings and goings.

This portrait of Francisco was made at the end of a street photography walk where I was sharing my many proven ways to approach people and how to capture candid shots and portraits of total strangers.
