Ruins of the former cathedral of Santiago de Guatemala

Take a look at the ruins of the cathedral complex of the Antigua Catedral de Santiago. This is a view from the back to the front of the cathedral. I believe the wall with the windows didn’t exist in colonial times when the church was used as cathedral. Nowadays only a fraction of the building is used as a parish known as Parroquía de San José.

With this image we finish the short photographic tour through some of the architectonic details of Antigua Guatemala. Hasta la vista.
